Privacy Policy

Dewring keeps your log on your iPhone. We don’t collect it, receive it or see it, so we can’t sell it or share it with anyone. The app has no way to reach the internet. Your log leaves your phone only when you export or share it yourself.

This Privacy Policy explains how Synaping Inc. (“Synaping,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Dewring app for iPhone (the “App”) and the website at dewring.com (the “Site”). In this policy, “personal information” means information that identifies, relates to or could reasonably be linked to you.

The App keeps what you enter, such as period days and flow, symptoms, notes, temperatures, ovulation tests, medicines and the things that helped you, along with your settings (together, your “log”).

On this iPhone, in a file iOS keeps encrypted whenever the phone is locked. It isn’t backed up to iCloud or a computer. It doesn’t connect to the internet at all. Nothing leaves this phone unless you export it yourself.

Your log is processed only on your device, to show you your calendar, your estimates and your garden. We do not have access to it. If we ever offer a feature that sends information from your device, we will update this policy before it is offered and ask for your permission where the law requires it.

Only what you type in. If you connect Apple Health, it also reads the cycle entries, symptoms and temperatures you choose in Apple’s own screen, and it never writes to Health. You can stop that at any time here, or in Health › Sharing › Apps.

What the App reads from Apple Health stays on your device with the rest of your log. We never use it for advertising, marketing or data mining, we never sell it, and we never disclose it to anyone.

From the App: none of your log. The App has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no code from other companies, and it does not send your log or information about how you use it to us or to anyone else.

From Apple, if you choose. If you have chosen in your device’s settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with crash reports and aggregated usage statistics that Apple collects. App Store Connect also gives us aggregated figures such as downloads. These don’t include the contents of your log.

When you contact us. If you write to us, we receive what you send, such as your email address and your message. Please don’t send us your log or details of your health; we don’t need them to help you.

From the Site. The Site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from any other company. Our hosting provider processes the technical information that any website request carries, such as an IP address, browser type and the time of the request, to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse. We don’t use it to identify you or to track you.

We use the limited information we receive to answer you, to provide, maintain, secure and improve the App and the Site, to protect against fraud and abuse, and to comply with the law. We do not use any information for targeted advertising or to build profiles about you.

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. When you export your log or share it yourself, the file goes where you send it, and from then on the place you sent it decides what happens to it.

We may disclose the limited information we hold (such as your correspondence with us) to service providers who help us run the Site and answer email, under contracts that limit their use of it; when required by law or legal process; to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or Synaping; or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy. We hold no cycle data, so we have none to disclose.

• Export everything gives you one open file you can keep or take to another app.
• Delete everything removes the log from your phone. Deleting the App does too.
• You can stop Apple Health access at any time in the App or in Health › Sharing › Apps.
• You can turn on the app lock, so the log opens only with Face ID or your passcode.

Your log is saved on this phone only. It isn’t backed up to iCloud and isn’t sent anywhere. If you delete the app, the log goes with it, so export first.

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Virginia and Washington, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and to access it, to correct or delete it, to obtain a copy of it, to opt out of its sale, sharing or use for targeted advertising, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights.

Because your log stays on your device, we usually hold no personal information about you beyond any messages you have sent us. You can export or delete your log yourself at any time in the App. To make a request about information we hold, email privacy@synap.ing. We will verify the request as the law allows, respond within the time the law requires, and accept requests from an authorized agent with proof of authority. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying with “Appeal” in the subject line, and we will tell you the outcome and how to contact your state attorney general if you are not satisfied. We honor Global Privacy Control signals; since we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing further to opt out of.

Washington, Nevada and Connecticut have laws about consumer health data. Our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy covers them and is part of this policy.

Dewring is intended for people 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no code from other companies inside it. The people who make it can’t see your log. Anyone holding this phone unlocked can, unless you turn on the app lock.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect the limited information we hold. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and keeping your device and its passcode safe is the most important protection for your log.

Your log stays on your device until you delete it. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to help you and to meet our legal obligations, and then delete it.

Synaping is based in the United States. The App and the Site are intended for people in the United States.

We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will give notice on the Site or in the App before it takes effect and ask for consent where the law requires it.
